My friend does, he got one in his wallet, not sure how good, but according to him the battery last about a year.

 

Waze can remember where u parked.

 

I haven't tried Waze for this. I have used "Mark my location" with my iPhone.

I would take a look at this little gadget as well. It has free GPS via cellular to track your car from anywhere.
It also monitors speed and crash data. It plugs into you ODBII port. I’m considering buying one to keep taps on my elderly mother. I already have the BlackVue system on my car so this would be redundant for me but useful for others.
