I think suede is a better substitute that does not squeak or get too hot or cold in the summer/winter for a ultra luxury car.

The cloth material used in the Century is pretty trick stuff, not sure if its a wool blend or what exactly. Very soft feeling yet extremely durable. I sat in one at a car show one time(early 90's model), reminds me of a Japanese take on a Cadillac Fleetwood 75 limo. Its like what Cadillac should have strove for in terms of fit/finish/attention to detail.
