It's already on Lexus.com $84,980 for the 2-Row. Add $1,195 for D&H.

, but obviously that won't last long. The only reason we would look at a 3-row SUV is because some of them have a roomier 2nd row. LX would be in the running, and I'd rather have more cargo space than those bizarre jumpseats that we'd literally never use. Getting rid of them AND saving 5 grand is win-win.

BUT, you pointed out the rub. Just because we don't want those goofy-*** seats doesn't mean we don't want heated steering wheel, HUD, ventilated seats, etc. etc. Those things are actually useful/valuable to us. So I for one am hoping that they ditch the separate optionless model, and just add "3rd row delete -$5000" to the options list for 2019. Not likely, but one can hope.
Well, if it's just sheer interior room you want, the Expedition EL/Suburban (and their GM and Ford stablemates) are king. But I take it you like the LX for its build quality.

Nope, no fast food, with the exception of some In 'n Out Burger on vacation 6 months ago. He's eaten real food pretty much all his life, favorite has been sushi since he was five. Lots of meat and vegetables. It's fun to watch waitstaff's faces when he orders a giant steak, rare.

Definitely don't want something that big if I can help it. Actually don't want an SUV at all, would prefer a G80/G90 or a used 7-series. But the wife wants another SUV, just not another RX. So the Audi Q5/SQ5/Q7 are in the mix, as are the GX and LX.

+1 on the Q5. We had a '13 (our 1st Audi) and it was a great CUV. Maybe kind of small for a family. The current gen Q5 is assembled in a new plant in Mexico. So far reports seem to indicate no major issues.

i honestly would consider the american SUVs now over this. Really whoever is going to take this off road. 2015+ escalades are actually quite nice inside and can be picked up at a great price on the used market. Hardly any discounts on a used LX570. If you can handle the extra size the ESV Escalade actually is sometimes cheaper than the regular sized one on the used market (only $3k more on new market)

So excited there's a two-row! Miss my LX-470 with removable seats - they spent most of their life in my garage. The non-removable third row in my LX570 eat up so much of my precious cargo space! Do I understand that the two row doesn't have heated/AC in the seats? A deal killer!
