It actually shows $97, not $770 for the pin stripes. But, as others have stated, it's the dealer trying it's best to make some extra money. Honda dealers are notorious for trying this. You just have to stand your ground and say "no thanks" to their add-ons.

Looks like Cumberland Kia: https://www.cumberlandkia.com/
They show 2 on their lot listed at $38,000 (same as this car), with a discount of $2,001. You go in and they will jack the price up by the $1,699 in "options" shown here. Typical dealer BS.

Just wanted to say, saw my first one in the wild here in KCMO. It was a red one - on the opposite side of the interstate, so I didn't get a good look. I like the way the DRLs look, and the red color during a sunset is nice. ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I suspect I will have to test drive one in the near future.

There was a black AWD GT in my boy's daycare parking lot this morning. Bigger than I had expected it to be, and very, very sharp. I lingered for a few so I could chat with the owner, but he/she didn't come out of the building before I had to leave so I'll have to chat him/her up next time.
I'm still leaning toward keeping my GS when my lease is up (about one more year), but if I replace it, the Stinger GT is worthy of serious consideration.

No more Fords or Holdens.

Now that Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore production has ceased in Australia, local authorities are encountering the same problems as United States law enforcement after the Ford Crown Victoria was discontinued: what to replace the aging police cars with? While some fleets will consist of BMWs and Chryslers in the future, News.com.au reports that Queensland police will go with Kia Stingers instead.
The Stingers in question will be fitted with the twin-turbo V6 engine. The first 50 cars will hit the road this week, and 150 more will join them in the long run. According to News.com.au, Kia was pushing to get the pursuit car fleet deal, and it has been co-operating with the Australian authorities to modify the Stingers for police use.
Road policing assistant commissioner Mike Keating said: "The Stinger performed very well in all areas and we had nothing but top reports from all the field officers. The result is a road policing first for us, the first foreign car to perform these duties."
So, it seems that if any dystopic Mad Max science fiction scenarios were ever to take place in Australia, the vehicle of choice will not be a supercharged Ford Falcon Pursuit Special Interceptor, but a twin-turbo Kia Stinger instead. We think the Stinger name is very suitable for the occasion.

for '19 in the u.s. they've bundled in previously separate options on base trims and now offer options that weren't previously available like the 360 camera (which has been available in canada), etc. ...
great car, great looks, good room, great options, great performance. g70 similar price now but smaller.

I'm surprised to see the rear seat heat being added to the GT2. I didn't see that mentioned earlier. I knew about the wireless charger and the 360 camera, though.
I decided to wait for a '19 to get these additional features, but it's tough as the remaining '18s are seeing some great discounts. My dealer has let me know they have some '19s, but no red ones yet, which is what I've asked for. I'm trying to be patient though, as I want to wait until the '18s are cleared and the '19s start seeing some discounts and rebates. I also need to finish up my GS lease, which is super upside down right now.

I mean the Stinger is already a good value. I just have to wonder if you could get similar discounts any time of the year with the right negotiating.
