Default Lexus Has Dissapointed So Far

So I was led to believe that Lexus was far superior than competitors because of Lexus’s level of service. Ha,ha, what a line that was! So what that the dealership is designed like a resort! That doesn’t make the car better than others. The local Lexus dealers are huge, but they have no idea how their customers are being treated. They couldn’t coordinate with a local shop to have aftermarket work done 3 times!!! That’s pathetic. They called & want their loaner car back because they have it sold - REALLY? I left 3 messages for the GM to call me - I got zilch! I like the car OK, but I’m not impressed by the Lexus dealer whatsoever. I’m not sure I would choose Lexus again if I had to do it over again. The car has many flaws, none serious, that they have to keep working on, so the level of quality has slipped. This leaves me disappointed so far.

I’ve owned a few Toyota’s & the dealers are as different as night & day. In particular, Lithia owned dealers are the worst of the worst (pick any vehicle brand). That’s too bad, because it’s *****sticks like that, that cause people like us to shop elsewhere. I’m still floored that the RX has so many issues. I toured the factory in Canada & it’s truly a modern engineering marvel. The building was cleaner than most restaurants & the workers were highly skilled & not Detroit druggies only keeping their job because of the Union.

Our Ford dealer is no different on our company vehicles. I have had to go and make a scene in the showroom with my salesperson who I just purchased four F150 trucks and told him to go talk to service or he would not be seeing our business in the future.

All vehicle have problems but have to admit my Lexus have been near flaw free and have not seen the service department unless planned service was due.

Wait a minute, did you trade one of your RX for an Audi?

Trade the car if you're dissatisfied. End of story. Pot luck with dealers. Just hope you get lucky with one. I had a Honda - hated it so I traded it but didn't bore the forum members with posts on how awful the car was.

Nevermind - I got your reply via e-mail & didn’t see the link to your thread. Are they ever going to bring the diesel v-6 back?

I asked my sales person about diesel and they are not selling any right now due to the be cover up!
I am pretty happy with the supercharged Q7. It is fast compared to the LX or RX, quiet and smooth.

The LX will likely go next, sometimes after the first of the year. I test drove a LC 500 and fell in love with it!

I'm not a fan of the Lexus "corporate snout", but that snout looks pretty damn awesome in the LC500. Recently saw a grey and red one in my local Lexus showroom - it took my breath away. I wanted to raid the nearest Bank so I could get one! But sensibility prevailed, and I thought of doing a few thousand muggings, instead!!

I don't understand what the complaint is. I love all dealerships. They are better than Jiffy Lube, so consider yourself blessed.

I also dispise any thread that try to make the dealerships look bad, because the dealers usually don't deserve the bad publicity. I've never heard of Jiffy Lube reimbursing someone after they screwd up a clients car.

It seems that your problems were caused by the dealer, so complain to them.

What vehicle did you buy and what problems do you have with it?

You must be a Jiffy Lube rep...or some kind of an inexperienced owner. Clearly, you’ve never had to fight to get a vehicle repaired. We’ll talk after that.
