so they did away with the sagging character line, and went back to a more traditional one.

In any case, the hatchback, to a quick resemblance, reminds me of the current Forte 5.

Completely agree with this. I was waiting for someone else to notice this. I noticed the Forte5 resemblance immediately.

Supposedly the new Nissan/Infiniti VCT engines were not specified in the original planning requirements for the MFA2, and is not compatible. Nissan - Mercedes Stop Sharing Small Car Platform

Interior seems like a good step forward from the current A/CLA-Class cars. Always felt it was a tough sell to get customers in a tiny little sedan with the plasticky interior of the current/outgoing car, but the market has spoken, as Mercedes still moved ~2,000 of these last month alone. Audi A3 managed just 1,000.

Hopefully they do a better job of calibrating the turbo engine and dual clutch transmission. In both the CLA and GLA, there always seemed to be horrendous lag when starting from a stop of the initial transmission slippage with the clutch, exacerbated with the turbo spooling up.

I saw the A250 today. Very nice new hatch by MB. This thing will sell very very well. Lovely interior I must say. The dash digital display is smaller in person than the pics portray. Think S-class is iPad while S-class is iPad mini. Room in rear is small, however they offer what looks like a full bucket seat in the rear with the headrest attached to the seat, really cool. Comes in 4 matic which is very cool. You do have to pay extra for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. A prepaid 3 year/3 service option is $800

What's an A250 hatchback? The website shows the A Class as a sedan (A220 here in US); GLA as an SUV.

The A250 Hatchback is exactly that, an A-Class hatchback, and is shown in the original post in this thread.

The A-Class hatchback has long been available in Canada but not the USA, since Americans tend not to like small cars and especially do not buy small hatchbacks.
