BMW M8 Gran Coupe
It would be great if President Akio did something like this BMW M8 Gran Coupe.
The 7 Series provides the regular luxury and comfort for diplomats.
While the 7 Series-based M8 Gran Coupe provides the sports performance for niche enthusiasts.
Two models for two different tasks.
As opposed to just one Lexus 5LS with a sporty niche & cramped interior targeting young Millennials, and expecting big sales.

Wow, I wasn't aware that Mercedes had a full size luxury 4 door gran coupe too.
All the more reason Lexus should have two separate body styles for 5LS.

Do you believe 5LS should come in "two" distinct body styles, aka conventional sedan & niche sports gran coupe - just like Mercedes S Class/AMG GT & BMW 7 Series/M8 Series?
I heard that Audi is readying an A8-based A9 Gran Coupe too...
