i know right!! we'd actually been driving next to the AMG for a few minutes and then saw the LFA. GT owner must've suddenly felt very inadequate lol... I was in the E55 so I still got to say my car was the most supercharged haha

Looks like a version of ride/drive coffee/cars. Rare sight for the LFA though.

WOW!!! That is a rare sighting, 500 total made, not sure how many in the USA. How'd it sound???

And too bad you were in town and not out in the middle of nowhere on a deserted road. I'm betting if you got the drop on him from a dead stop in the E55, he'd have a hell of a time catching you until you were doing 70-80mph. But going that fast on anything other than an interstate or in a populated area is asking for trouble.

as good as i was hoping it would, and it really does have a bit of that raspy resonating like sound you hear in videos of it. so nuts... it looked like some 20s-ish kid driving with his dad. i think they noticed us getting super excited over it lol so he had the good grace of giving us a solid pass by the car with my window down. after that we kinda drove nearby each other for a bit, i stepped on it a bit hoping it would get them in the mood but i'm guessing the dad (assuming that's who it was) told him don't even think about it lol...

oh man if only... critics of the LFA always like to mention how it's performance figures are no better or even worse than cars which cost a half or even a quarter of the price, and i think things like an E55 worth under $15,000 just make things look worse for the LFA in this sense lol... with the E55 totally stock the LFA is still up by only about 50 hp, but it's down by over 150 lb ft, which is literally more than an entire corolla's worth of torque, and you reach peak torque at 4,500 rpm lower. that for me has always been what made the E55 so awesome, the power is just always there and readily accessible. don't get me wrong i'm not trying to say the LFA is "worse" by any means, the E55 is at it's heart after all just an E-Class with a comically overpowered engine and large brakes, but the LFA is the damn 9th symphony

Oh its still way faster than your E55, he'd smoke you at the drag strip for example if he knew how to launch it and cut a light. Just saying, on the street, if you get the jump and a good launch, they aren't so fast to where he's going to immediately make up the ground and drive by you like you're standing still. The LFA is fast, but its definitely slower than some of the newest stuff like the Ferrari 488, Lambo Huracan, or the newer McLarens. Still, I'd take it over all those cars listed just for the engine and the sound. Plus I like that its rare, low production numbers.

oh yea i'd be toast, and that's just assuming this is only a drag race and nothing even remotely track related. people have tuned up their E55s to the point where it'd actually be quicker on a dragstrip but i have done no such thing, i don't plan on ever doing that much work to it.

There should be 16x LFAs in the US at this point.

I believe the target was 174 of the 500 for the US.

One got dropped off a transport truck and I believe is done. At least 1 went to Canada after it got a front bumper hit and a dealer up there put it back together and paid some import taxes. At lease 2 got shipped to Europe, I believe these were the cars the Guy in Atlanta had.

People don't understand that you get a car you are paying for the driving experience, like how the newer gsf is a v8 and the bmw is a turbo 6. You want the sound, the feel its a package deal......that is just my opnion about that situation.

The LFA is super sexy I would love to purchase one one day I am curious about the maintance costs of them lol

exactly... a dodge neon can be made to have as much power as an LFA, and if you watch the top gear where they went to the drag strip in nevada with an LFA, it lost (as well as the vanquish and the viper) to literally EVERY other modified evo and wrx there, but like you said an LFA isn't bought purely for it's 1/4 mile time. as far as high revving ultra exotic n/a v10s go, your only other option is pretty much a carrera gt, so it's not like there's a whole lot out there with a similar overall experience. in fact there's probably nothing else out there, since the engine isn't behind you in the LFA.
