Reason for not getting the Genesis: The price/incentives were not as good as the GS.. Genesis would've been couple of $k more.
I am going to check out a Volvo and Jaguar in few months since they are offering some KILLER conquest/competitor lease incentives. This is how you steal competitors' customers.
G80 leases for more than a GS350.. right now.. why would ANYONE even LOOK at a Hyundai/Genesis, when the equivalent Toyota/Lexus is CHEAPER?
Only way I am going to check out a G70 is if it leases for LESS than a Q50.. not even the same, I mean LESS.
I will not even walk within 5 blocks of Chevy/Chrysler dealership until they build a car GROUND-up.. every time I get into a rental, I realize that parts from the old-gen are being used in the new model.
I can't figure out why Chevy uses that ugly gauge needles/color/lighting etc.. it's that same crappy perfect circle with green like lighting in the back..

badge works two ways, sometimes someone doesn't buy because they don't want to be associated with the image of the badge (country club set, etc.).

They have got to get rid of this imitative logo on their cars. Just doesn't give it any legitimacy. I doubt anybody trying to avoid badge snobbery wants a Genesis to somehow evoke Bentley dreams.

An L in an oval is imaginative? When their parent company is a T in an oval? LOL

Maybe this will push Lexus to step up their IS line. My first car at 16 was a 2001 IS300 and later I had a 2006 IS350. I always thought I would own the 3rd generation just to say I had owned all 3, but IMO, the 3rd generation is crap. The only problem I see with Genesis is nothing is original. They copy all the other makes instead of doing their own thing. I get that they are trying to play it safe, but I would assume this turns off some people. I wish the G70 success, but from the lack of the G80 and G90 I see here on the road here in LA, I wouldn't hold my breath that this car is going to take them to the next level. That being said, I would easily consider a G80 5.0 or G90 when I'm looking to a new car in the future.

And on the flip side, I would have no idea that was the Chrysler logo. How many logos has Chrysler gone through in the last 30 years? They completely change it at least every 10 years.

I might have to go check it out next time I'm in Mississauga and see it up close, but from what I can tell from pics on the web and yours, the interior parts bin sharing with the Stinger is apparent:
- Gauge cluster
- HUD
- wiper/light control stalks
- secondary lower dash buttons and hood latch
- steering wheel paddle shifters
- steering column cover and tilt button
- cup holders
- NAV screen and software
- USB, charging port, and wireless charging pad
- aluminum pedals
- front seat controls and seat shape
- seat back/netting

Did you get a sense of pricing?
