Though my driving record wasn't perfect (I made one or two errors), I was considered a very careful driver by teen-standards....especially compared to some of the bozos in my high-school class. So was my best friend.....one reason why we got along well together) That is why my dad let me test-drive a bunch of big Mercury and Lincoln company cars he brought home from the office each night (he worked for the old Philco-Ford division after he retired from the Army)....he knew I wouldn't tear them up or abuse them. That is (partly) where I developed my love for big American luxury-iron....particularly big Buicks. And, to this day, half-a-century later, I've never damaged or wrecked a vehicle I was test-driving or reviewing. Not trying to brag....just stating a fact.

Yes, though the Pennsylvania mountains are not particularly high, there are some wicked roads that traverse them. Some of the grades in that state (which reach or exceed 12-14% on some of the older roads) are trucking legend.

Anyhow, glad you are OK and learned from that experience.
