Have you seen one in person? I thought the taillights were a nice touch once I saw them for myself. They have a nice 3D-ish look when they're on.

Totally agree. The design of the LED tails is extremely well done on the G80. Very 3D and very high-end/luxurious. Not something you'd see on a "cheap" car for sure. Always been a fan of the tails since the Genesis G80 was still the Hyundai Genesis.

You're right Bitkahuna.
SNiiP3R does have a point when he says 5LS isn't the ugliest new release, but 5LS is the ugliest flagship sedan in the world.

I didn't think 5LS was that ugly - I just thought 5LS was very bland in an Infiniti or Acura sort of way.

Genesis G80 has nice tail light lenses; G80 looks refreshing from all those L's.
G80 just needs a bit more chrome on the tail to look a bit more expensive; look at how much chrome the flagship 5LS has...

Might be roomier than 5LS too...
The 5LS is a far superior car compared to the G80.

I used the midsize luxury G80 as the example because the more direct competitor - the flagship G90 - is looking a touch conservative, esp around the side windows etc, though it's still much neater and more stylish than 5LS rear.

The flagship sedans have plenty of chrome work.

5LS's front mid-engine placement is certainly dynamically superior to Genesis etc etc, though keeping in mind that this thread is about the styling, rather than the functionality of the vehicle...

Well the new LC 500's taillights must be fondue to you, then. I appreciate it when taillights are detailed, but not distracting. For instance I can't stand the Durango's massive taillight "racetrack" pipe. It's so big and bright. Get stuck behind one of those at night, and you'll be shielding your eyes. Maybe I have sensitivity to stuff like that at night, but somehow I doubt I am the only one whose vision is offended by that thing.

And yeah the LS may be a superior vehicle, but I'd rather have the G80 in my garage, just from a looks perspective and a IT HAS A V-8 perspective. Though the two vehicles don't really compete. I think the LS would be too big for me - the G80 was borderline. I just prefer having a maneuverable vehicle, if I'm the driver anyway.

I don't think the LS is ugly per se, but it's far from my favorite Lexus of late.

Was holding judgement on the Civic Type R until seeing one in person. Saw one this morning on my way in to work and I can now confidently state that it belongs high on my list of unattractive cars. Yikes.

that looks just like my g90, only mine's a bit cleaner (for a change ). i think the car is a great looker from that angle. i'm not wild about the front but it has stately proportions overall.

I'm not somebody who likes "boxy" or "angular" styling, so in general those Super Duty trucks are ugly to me.

When I first saw these things, I thought they were a cheesy after market kit.

lol at "bro'd" out. Trucks need silhouette lighting. Theres no denying that you can't recognize the car from 5 miles away.
