I have the N/A Cadillac 3.6L in my Lacrosse (same engine). No, it is not as drag-strip fast as the TT BMW mill, but what do you expect, with twin-turbos?...that is a no-brainer. What the 3.6L does offer is smoothness, refinement (except for a very low level of injector-pulse-noise), drivability, excellent fuel mileage in combination with the 9-speed transmission, cylinder-decoupling, start/stop feature, and, yes, if needed, it will definitely get out of its own way, although most of the time I drive very conservatively.

For reference, my 1992 GMC Sierra, with a 5.7L V8, was rated at 190/300. We've come a long way, but I have doubts a gas turbo in truck duty will go the 200k mile distance without issues.
