What happens if you install two different mufflers

I am going to be getting my exhaust made in a couple weeks and was wondering what would happen if I were to put a greddy muffler on one side and an hks muffler on the other? Would it have a unique sound, would it sound really bad, would it hurt performance?

A better and more practical method, IMO, was done on some versions of the 1990's-vintage Mitsubishi 3000 GT and Dodge Stealth (which was the same car mechanically). A switch on the dash alternated between two different programmings of the exhaust flow....with a different noise/frequency to each.
