Is visibility worse now due to back up cameras?

Agree with the styling and safety standards contributing to the poorer rear visibility. The camera in fact helps to mitigate some of that.

On this topic, the Stinger's rear visibility is the worst I've had in car ownership. In fact, I have to duck to be able to see cars in my rearview mirror that are further back in my lane, and I'm just average height. That's due to the low sportback roofline "cutting into the glass". For perspective, my MR2, RCF, CT, even the NX were better.

Honestly I wouldn't say it's worse BECAUSE of backup cameras, I think it's worse because of safety stuff like rear curtain/cpillar airbags.
