Default Kia Stinger GT vs Mustang GT 10-Speed- Track Review // Lap-Times and Drag Race

Having owned the RC F, I can relate to the Mustang's results against the Stinger's, so I'm not really surprised with the results

That Stinger is a great looking car - have seen a few in-person recently and really like it. And enjoyed watching most of the video seeing the performance. Very impressive.

AWD Apples and RWD oranges. No surprise the Stinger wins the drag, Mustang wins the track.

I would love to go up against a Stinger GT. FYI, I just raced a 2018 Audi S4 with an exhaust from a dig and beat him twice. Game on!

With the RC F from a start or rolling?

In a short race (i.e. 1/4 mile) the Stinger (AWD) will beat the RC F purely on the merits of better traction and low-end torque giving it a head start. RWD Stinger not sure though it still has a good launch and traction so it might be a tighter race.

Where the RC F shines (and I do miss it) is the power above 3700 rpm especially between 5k-7500 rpm. It's a beast, more than the Stinger's, and I know it would beat the Stinger in a rolling start.

I said it was from a dig. Because of this race, I don’t believe in the video’s results until Throttle posts time slips of the race against the mustang. Look at the comments of the mustang guy below. This car is a legit 12 second car and the stinger beats every time? Give me a break? I just raced an S4 which should take your stinger and beat it twice. But I will not make a statement that I will beat it every time purely on the merits of traction etc..Too many variables involved and as much as possible I avoid street light races but this guy tail gated me like no other wanting my RC-Fs ***. He spoke as meek as a lamb after our race. Good luck with your Stinger. Also, look at the Savage Geese’s comments below in the video you posted. That will tell you much about your car’s sporting capabilities.

I've seen at least 4 different Stingers in the past week here in the DC area. Very beautiful cars in person. Not sure what the sales data is but seems to be doing well in this area.

I must be the only guy in America who thinks the Stinger is ugly and bloated. I don't see what everybody else see's, now the G70 is a beautiful design, I think it looks MUCH better than the Stinger.

It's not ugly, but it's too big for a sports sedan. I prefer the G80 also. I think it's a great GT car.

Did you mean G70? The G80 is bigger than the Stinger.

I have a hard time believing these results as well since a JB4 modified Stinger is barely hitting 12.4 ETs at the track...

Yeah. G70. I have the new C&D and the G70 isn't all that much faster than the Stinger but handles better. The G70 is also a porker at 3800 lbs.

I have a feeling that the new G20 3 series is going to serve notice when it comes out and wipe the floor with everybody.
