Default 1uz rods into a 1uz vvt

Im thinking of boosting my 1uz vvt, quick question, could i fit earlier rods i.e. Pre vvt connecting rods into my vvt engine to help deal with the boost or is it a no go? Will the crank and pistons need to be swaped also? And if so will the vvt heads play ok with a pre vvt piston, any information appreciated, thanks all..... P. S. I dont want to just buy a pre vvt engine

If you have a VVTI 1UZ, you can 100% swap in earlier rods while using your current crank and pistons, however I would highly recommend head studs as a precaution for doing that.
Someone Swapped a VVTI 1UZ, into a MK3 Supra made 600hp and that was his exact engine formula, early rods and just head studs and of course boost, he's on Facebook with UZ group. As for swapping out pistons, I do not know the answer to that.
