Sorry, Gents.....your opinions noted, but I just don't see anything funny about it. I agree that rats are filthy, disease-carrying, a PITA, and will chew on almost anything. But chipmunks are just adorable, and don't have the filthy characteristics of rats. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for them, though most of them are leery of humans, and tend to scurry away as one approaches.
All of the above creatures are cute, but still a PITA.

This "Little Guy" was caught in my wife's Camry (traded later for an LS). It was eating the wiring in the trunk and was somewhat successful. The car was still rather new and went in for scheduled service the technicians found signs of "sabotage"! He had chewed, but not severed several wires on the main harness (from what we remember) going to the back of the car.
She had taken a trip and flown from the airport in Austin, Texas and we are thinking maybe that's where he hitched a ride. Her sister had heard reports on the news of large rats in the airport on news reports.
We finally got him.....
