Default First Lexus!

We bought a GMC 1 ton Denali to pull our 5th wheel with and my wife said...."This rides so much better than my Camry". Well...duh...!

So I started shopping and was real interested in a new GS350, when after conversations with our salesman at Sewell Lexus in Fort Worth lead us to a L/Certified 2016 GS200T. It only had 15,800 miles and was spotless! Like other Lexus cars...it is drop dead gorgeous! (Obsidian with Flaxen)

The ride is great and compares to our Denali, with the GMC having less road noise, but overall ride goes to the Lexus.

My wife has a broken leg, so I "volunteered" to drive from Fort Worth back to Sweetwater! It goes without saying....Lexus and Sewell have us from now on!

Have a blessed night and thanks for listening!

Very wise purchase. The GS is a lot of great things blended into one. And it's something you don't see on the road all day long, helping to preserve the specialness.
I've always thought, give any car a Flaxen interior and you are already ahead of the game.
More pics please...

Looks best in black! Interesting you say Denali has less road noise, probably because of taller tire sidewalls. But GS ride and handling are excellent. Congrats! You probably know that besides Car Chat here there's a dedicated sub forum for your model. We hope you stay a while.

Agreed, the GS is a stunner in black - combined with Flaxen on the seating, and that is pretty classy.

Congrats and welcome.

I was thinking along the same lines as the truck does sit much higher and away from the road. It maybe that it is the tires as well. I put road tires on the Denali that have a good rating for noise and the Lexus is still on factory tires. They are Dunlop Sports Maxx 050. Several of the reviews I found that they may not have a great rating for noise. On a smooth Interstate extremely quiet, but on a state road that was smooth but new pavement is where I noticed a small difference.

My wife says I am being picky...because she realizes how much better ride the Lexus is compared to her Camry!

Congrats!

Better tires will make a big impact on road noise.

Congrats! I would find that name from this forum but that was before my time which began in 2016.

For really specialized Lexus parts, genuine OE, that cannot be had on eBay (I wanted 2 door caps for a LS430 in moonlight pearl), I used parts.com. Still got a good discount (bigger than anywhere else I could find with maybe 1 exception/a Miami dealer that I don't like/trust and charged sales tax to my state). Since there "is" shipping, I loaded up my cart until the shipping went up, then backed the last items out, to take advantage of the sunk minimum shipping cost.

You'd be surprised when you order from parts.com, where the parts actually are shipped out of.
