ES models from the 2000s are perhaps my least favorite Lexus vehicles of all time, as is the SC430. I would remove the ES and SC430 from the list and add the GS and the IS (in addition to the IS F).
Where is the GS second Gen or the car after which I fell in love with the lexus brand ; GS400. here is mine back in the day
LOL I had bought my first new car, a 1998 Maxima SE 5-spd, feeling like a million dollars. I get behind this old guy (must have been late 30's hahahahaha) in a dark blue GS400 with a spoiler. I felt like I had the wind knocked out of me, suddenly my new car was like fitty cents! GS400 was incredible back in the day. p.s. I had that bar code on my window can't remember when, it was to use the Hatem Bridge.
its funny you say that because my first awesome/fast car was the maxima 1998 it was very nice until I sat in one of my friends gs430 2001, this was early 2000s and I was in college. At that moment I just had to have the GS...and it didn't disappoint.

That's funny, because I hear that all the time about the 2GS. How amazing and different it was for its time. We have an 03 GS430 in the family for over 8 years and no plans on selling it. The car really is awesome. Still looks right at home with modern cars if you have a clean one.
Nowadays it's really hard to get excited about new cars. Everything is just blah and all looks the same. Nothing really stands out unless you're spending $200k+

Just imagine what $50k buys today, not anything at all. We don't have to be as extreme as Scotty and drive a 1994 Celica, but probably the best cars were made somewhere in the mid to late 2000's, stopping around 2010. Not best for features that mimic an iPhone or android, but for the actual underpinnings of the vehicles. Also hard to avoid turbocharging today. It's not bad of course, just different.
very true, I honestly believe the best Lexus cars were in the 2000s and they looked very good too. The LS the SC the GS the LX they still turn heads today. Whenever I see a older lexus and some are taken care of very well I make sure I strike a conversation or a-least give them thumps up. I still miss my GS400, even though I later bought a ISF the GS had sort of its own presence.

My 2001 GS430 was my favorite. I still admire the 2GS whenever I see one on the road... My next favorite was the original IS300 with those chrono-style gauges.

The SC's and Land Cruisers seem to command quite a premium on the used market....I'd love to have a Land Cruiser (or LX) if the used prices were even near reasonable! It's so funny how much they fetch even with 200k miles!
