Default 10-Year-Old Boy Takes Lexus on 37-mile Joyride

So 37 miles down the interstate sounds like a pretty good run for a ten-year old! Maybe he's been playing a lot of Mario Kart? Fortunately nobody got hurt after they plowed into a median — both the driver and younger passenger were wearing their seat belts. Safety first! Ha ha! More info here.

The first time I took my parents car for a joy ride I was 13 or 14 years old. The excitement rush with driving a car along with the fear of, I don’t know what I am doing was overwhelming. I drove a few miles to a party and then quickly felt the need to go home and end this experience...

How was your first driving experience?

Perfectly legal. I was 16 at the time....learning. In general (but not necessarily 100%) I've always obeyed the law.

Poor ES. It deserved better. At least he got to feel what it's like to pilot a wooden steering wheel.
He bucked the trend, as most of today's youth do not want to drive until their 20's.

i think kids should learn how to drive as early as possible. As long as they are taller than 5ft and can see over the dashboard.

I agree....but many jurisdictions have (foolishly, IMO) outlawed corporal punishment for kids.

My boy started driving with a learner license when he was 14. Kids aside how about wives who do not know how to drive? I knew a couple only man drives, his wife never learned how to drive.
When they were planning a long trip with a motor home, I asked the woman what if your man gets sick on the road? She just shrugged, "even if I have a driver's license he won't let me drive"

He’s gets to wash all dishes, cut all grass, and vacuum all rugs until he works off the damage. Credit him minimum wage/hour.

I'm with Fizzboy.....poor ES. In my book, teen, teenybopper, or adult, it is a crime to abuse a vehicle.
