Great list but with the LC500 in there why not also mention the original SC/Soarer Z30? Or the Chaser Tourer V and Mark 2 IRV performance sedans? Or the FR-S/GT86? Or the original IS-F?

All candidates for a pt 2. Keep the suggestions coming for cars you all would like to see make the cut. My personal favorite and a possible spoiler is the GT-One.

Best Toyota/Lexus sports car? I'd vote for the 2Gen MR2 Turbo. My Flight Instructor bought a brand-new one in 1994...bright red, and, in that color, some people told him they thought it looked like a small Ferrari. Extremely well-built, with excellent materials...IMO, the early/mid-1990s were Toyota's heyday for quality. I got to drive it several times. Fun to drive, though the engine, with limited cooling-slots and airflow, tended to run hot, you had to be careful starting the engine and idle it before shutting it down because of the turbo-characteristics back then, it required frequent oil changes, it rode quite firmly, and the position of the engine behind the driver made the front end very light and the steering somewhat darty, especially in crosswinds. Staying in one's lane on long straight stretches required some work with the steering wheel. And it was cramped inside for tall people like me. But it was a blast in sharp corners....and, even though darty, it didn't have the gross and dangerous drop-throttle/snap-oversteer that some older rear-engined Porsches did.

^^ I remember the first time I saw one of those as a kid. I was in love. Great looking car, still to this day.

The Lexus GSF is the most satisfying car for me so far.

I thought the same at first. Until I looked closely at a few in person. GSF is beautiful.

The MR2 will always be my automotive first love. I've done some dumb things in my life, but selling my MR2 was near the top of that long list.

Sold my MR2 for a USED 98 Civic Coupe Si (EX) after I got married and expecting our son. In hindsight, I should have have kept it and we could have managed with our Protege5 (at the time) !
