What does it matter when every dealer has like more than 5 down here in all different colors. The car is nice, its just not rare, its everyone and their moms first super car choice. just not a fan. Id rather get the more rare NSX or a vanquish. Basically the AUDI R8 is the supercar for normies who are not into cars get and are badge *****s. sorry not sorry.

Looks are completely subjective....but the wonderful V10 sounds + performance are not!

 

I may see one or two per year in Los Angeles and they have all been male drivers. Like the TT, the R8 has always been the odd man out as far as sports cars. Most dealers in my area only show one or two in stock. Some none at all.

 

Well, I forget Im in South FL, most materialistic city in the states after Cali & NYC, I wish i was kidding when i saw 4 different ones last week, 1 woman, 3 young guys. All in naples, fl. Whats cringier is when they drive by slow in front of you staring at you hoping you notice their cars. I guess im realizing how out of hand this whole people trying to impress others has gotten, which is only getting worse. So right before i got my ct200h, I test drove the a3 etron @ 2 different dealerships. The fort myers and the south miami audi dealerships had 10+ audi r8's between the both of them. They have so many because people are not buying them they are leasing them because they cannot truly afford the car. To me the car is as common as a 5 series down here, before last week I saw the car average 1x a week. Also TT is not a sports car.

 

NSX is gorgeous, the new R8 just looks like a more conservative less exotic version of the last R8. Used bar of soap is the last thing I thought when I have seen NSX's. I think they look better then the 488 and McLaren's too.

 

I'm seeing those R8 nearly every month in summer times. It's really popular here, and, as our collegue above said, it became some kind of weird status car for non-car-guy's willing to spend money on the only sportscar they know of. We even have rap songs made by 8 yo. (or older) about them.

You know what I only saw once on the streets since 2015 ? A Lexus RCF.

 

That's quite a commute. Hope you don't have to do it every day.
