My parents refuse to buy the new Lexus RX because of the ugly grilles. They are loyal Lexus RX owners but really those new Lexus spindle grilles are damn ugly.
I love Lexus (obviously) and when I was buying an SUV I went with the LX470 as I wasn't much of a fan of the LX570 but they have grown on me a lot so I think, for me, it was a toss-up between the LX470 and the newest lx570.
Still love the LX470 though. Here's mine on 33" KO2's

Beautiful LX470. That is a 03,04 or 05? We had a 00 model, that is when it was stil a 4 speed and 16”. Awesome power train. We should of never sold it. I still have the same 4.7 in my 4Runner
I assume the 33" refers to the tire diameter. Friend of mine in high school had a father who had a lifted Chevy truck with crazy "40's" on it. Which obviously, were the tires. That thing was TALL.
It's an 04 with 145k on it. Beautiful vehicle and a great ride even with the A/T's on it. Love this thing.

They are all so close these days. I think styling, overall, is getting very nice with many manufacturers, not just SUV’s but cars too. I love the way the MB GLE SUV looks but I would never buy a Mercedes Benz. I buy Lexus’ (non-turbo’s) for reliability more than anything. But I have gotten a lot of compliments on my RX’s styling.
"So my Lexus 350 needs new tires."
"Uh, sir, what year and model is it?"
"I dunno, 2007 ish? and a 350?" "... a what-350?"
(This was paraphrased from actual conversation I overheard at Costco, though it was about a Highlander and not an RX - though I have heard of the infamous "Lexus 350" before.)
That's pretty funny. I wotk at a Lexus dealership and I get so many calls from customers asking for help with their "350". It drives me nuts because they genuinely don't know the year or which model it is until I name off each car.
I have found that many of our customers are pretty dumb. They get mad when I don't know which 350 they have as if I could read their minds. I also get calls about their cars being "the big one", which I list off the LX, LS, and GX only to find out it's an RX.

Invite them to join CL.....and actually LEARN something.
