Correct, which is like I said if thats the best out of that whole segment best to just avoid the whole segment. Spend a little more and get a compact car.

Interesting that Car & Drivers gives the Spark its Editor's Choice.
Its all relative. US News ranks it #9 in subcompact cars.

I didn't say you were out of touch....only that one obviously cannot compare a Sonic to an LS. That applies to anyone, not just you or me.

I drive a LOT of cars, and there are several compact cars that I think are very good cars...Civic, Mazda 3 are big ones. Even the Cruze within the GM family. My brother in law also has a Honda Fit I've driven several times and its a much nicer car than the Spark.

I think the Spark is a terrible car because It struck me as a terrible car, not because I was comparing it to much better cars. The only reason to buy a Spark is because its cheap
We were discussing the Sonic, not the Spark. The Spark, an A-class minicar, is smaller than the Sonic, a B-class subcompact. I agree it is not in the same class........the Sonic is a significantly better driving vehicle.

Do any of the reviews out there say it is terrible as you had said?

They like the Sonic, but not the Spark. Aside from its maneuverability and easy parking, they have a low opinion of the Spark's road manners. I agree.

Make sure you don't confuse the two. While both are subcompact, the Spark is even smaller (actually an A-class minicar).......to the Spark's slightly larger B-class.

And who was comparing the Sonic to the LS? That was just one of your (admittedly common) additions to a conversation that have nothing to do with the subject?

NOBODY is comparing the Sonic to the LS. So, why even bring up the LS?

I can't remember whether what I had was a Sonic or a Spark...

I don't need reviews to tell me what my opinion of a vehicle I've driven is.

The 2019 Sonic got 66 on the road-test......63 overall. Not bad for an inexpensive car in that class.

The smaller 2019 Spark got 47 on the road test.....50 overall.

It was cramped, loud, rode hard, totally unrefined in the powertrain, seats were really un comfortable, incredibly slow.

You sure you are not talking about the Spark? What you state describes the Spark to the tee....in my experience, not the Sonic.

Thanks marshall. I appreciate the scores. I do not have access to the scores. For reference, what does a Cruze rate at?

Looking at numbers, and I personally have no feelings for the cars being cut because I would never buy one. In the quarter, the Buick brand is down on units sold and the Lacrosse is down 53%. They are selling about 8500 units per year. The Impala is down 49% in the quarter. How is possible to justify the continuation of these models?

"LaCrosse sales fell to 2,118 units, a sales loss of 53.2 percent. "

There is no future for some of the cars Ford is currently selling Mustang yes.

He was actually talking about the Ford/Lincoln sedan line-up more than GM. Low-sales vehicles have been kept in production before, though, without their automakers going bankrupt.

He just posted for you, Jill, showing that the Fusion actually outsold the Mustang last year.
