Default Best backup camera for a truck?

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question, but here goes. My Dad drives a 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab and backing up is a challenge. He has already hit a few things. I would like to get a backup camera to install around his license plate, preferably wireless if possible. I did the customary Google search and looked up products on Amazon, but it is difficult to determine which product is a good value or reliable. Has anyone had good experience with a particular aftermarket backup camera? Many thanks for the help.

Can't help you very much on the camera (I don't know any aftermarket brands)....but, one temporary suggestion, until you DO get a camera. When the truck is not carrying a load, simply remove the tailgate if it is possible (it is on some trucks, not on others). That alone will give the driver (looking out the back window) a substantially wider field of view, without being blocked. You could also simply drop the tailgate and get the same view-effect, but that could lead to problems with the back edge of the truck sticking out even more, and him more likely to back it into something.

With a crew cab, you don't have as much of a view of even your tailgate, honestly. Looking in my rear view, I only see the top of my tailgate. I can back up without a camera, but I sure enjoy the convenience of having one.

I went by Costco several days ago, they had a wireless solar-powered rear-view camera setup that looked very slick

Buy this giant steel rear bumper so he can destroy everything behind him.
