Looks pretty genuine to me lol. The girl was obviously borrowing somebodys car or something like that and didnt know it was an electric car.
Begs the question though, if you loaned somebody your Tesla, you wouldnt walk them through how to charge it?
As for not making fun of people...its funny. When I do something stupid and people laugh at me, I laugh right along with them.

And if she was borrowing someone else's car, why would the lights flash when she is using her phone? That's a heck of a friend that allows her to download the Tesla app, and gives her the log in and password for their car.

But, in that regard, what made her think the car needed gas? Most people look at the gas gauge before stopping to fill up, in order to determine if they need to stop and fill up.

The Mobile station she is at is right near LAX Airport. If this video is actually real, I would bet that this car was rented through Turo or some other app where owners rent their cars.

The Tesla app has a guest function where you can let a guest use the car and their phone to access it. You can also rent Teslas...
