Toyota does and always will because Toyota sells cars for the shareholders - not the enthusiast. That's why Toyota dividends are good.
They should have gone through with it. An IS300 with a 3UZ or even a 2JZ-GTE from the factory would have been incredible.
I feel like things would have been interesting if Toyota had made performance versions of their cars back in the day. A 2JZ-GTE IS300/GS300, a 1JZ SC300, and a 5-speed manual SC400 would be awesomei
The IS300 seemed to cause the explosion of modified imports, Altezza tail lights took over everything when this car came out.
That’s very true! I never understood the hype of the Altezza lights but everyone was putting those lights on everything. I thought they were cool on the IS300.
