we didn't misunderstand, you said they were surprised but they weren't, so if that was your point it was in error.
And when you talk about that Genesis has ALWAYS done, Remember Genesis has only been around 3 or 4 years. So, surprise at what they come out with is totally reasonable.
Seems like it was benchmarked more to match the GLE than the X5.
finally had a chance to read this review. Wow. One thing that stood out was their sound level test.
There's another hallmark of luxury that's maybe more important to customers than excessive thrust: respite from the noise of the world. That, the GV80 has. We measured 66 decibels in the cabin at 70 mph. That's a mere one decibel louder than the sound level in a Mercedes-Maybach S560, the luxury car that many sedans want to be when they grow up.
and they weren't testing the top of the line 3.5tt prestige which has RANC (new type of noise cancelation).
And this chart in their review took some head scratching to figure out but it's neat. Basically, the further out on the arms you get the better you are. The aviator line (pink) for example is weakest except for cargo volume.
Extremely difficult to do the logistics of the giant press events that are more typical. They main embargo is up, so no holding back on releasing things and they're just now doing some of the non major magazine outlets through concise ultra small/short vehicle sessions.
this is a pretty interesting review. i didn't know it has a limited slip diff on higher trims.
That's good to hear.....and Kudos to Genesis for that. I had an LSD on my Outback, and it was just marvelous on slippery surfaces, even with all-season tires. Other vehicle-owners I've known with LSDs have also generally been quite satisfied.
