I don't care for the interior either.

as always white exterior looks worst... i think in dark gray or black the grille won't be as bad.

Two things:
1) Not sure I've ever seen leather where your leg may rest (on the inside of the center area) - see it in the first pic below & right of the steering wheel. That's a nice/interesting touch, although I'm not sure I'd like it if my leg was hitting that in the sweltering summer heat here in FL.
2) I really like that light wood they used. I'm excited to see more pics of this and learn more about it. IMO, this is really well-executed from these initial pics and I have a feeling it will look much better in-person.

I'm very excited to see what Genesis puts out in the GV80 and GV70. Only thing that has me scratching my head is the tachometer - does it go counter-clockwise? I absolutely HATE when car companies try and reinvent the wheel with stupid things like a tachometer. There are certain expectations all people have (and want) with certain standard elements of any vehicle and when the tachometer is round it should go clockwise!

The styling is a miss for me, just like the corporate cousins the palisade and telluride on the exterior, however the interior is spot on for the most part. the land yacht steering wheel, and cream interior are not my pick, better in a dark black or brown.

I wouldnt say this is class leading like the XC90 when it launched, but its a great first effort.

However, the ones that pbm317 posted, supposedly from the factory, do look genuine, with the console close-up and the plastic wrapping over the steering wheel.

Once again the press pics are so highly stylized and contrasted you can't tell what the thing really looks like.

Who's going to use the tach in a vehicle like this anyway? I'm shocked most car companies haven't eliminated the tach completely.

BMW's with the digital cluster do this right now as well, as it keeps the RPMs on the outer edge, leaving the middle of the screen open for map/infotainment/trip meter etc.

Aston Martin's in the past have had traditional tach dial that rotated counter clockwise as well.
