How an Air Intake Works
I took apart the air intake on my G35 and made a short video on how it works:
Its pretty neat to cut open some of the components inside the air intake system.
Here is the entire air intake system removed:
Of notable mention:
The accelerator pedal sensor uses two potentiometer tracks. These measure resistance inversely with each other as fail safe:
The throttle position sensor also has two separate tracks in its potentiometer for redundancy:
This is what the thin wires, temperature bulb and calibration circuit look like in the MAF sensor:
And finally, this is what's inside the drive by wire throttle body:
