I am sure there are plenty of existing threads about this topic. Just saying. No need to bait out that debate here.

It is not that regular gas won't run the engine. You have not really driven a vehicle which needs premium or you can't tell the difference what type of gas is in your car's fuel tank. There are two types of person sitting on driver's seat. ..One is driver who knows about cars in general. The other one is just an operator. If car starts and moves it is OK for him or her. I can see, smell, feel about my car when I am driving.

I haven't drove the QX50 but like someone said above the reviews on the QX50 are not that great, the motor and MPG results I have read and seen have been disappointing with it. If you are considering that car to purchase, I would suggest stick to the RX350, or maybe look at the Acura RDX or MDX. The Infiniti motor is too new to see how it will last.
I was interested in seeing the new VC turbo motor. Sat in the driver's seat which was not that comfy for me. Any how vs. RX350
they are two different vehicles, IMO. To me Nissan product has been always in underdog position in the market. QX60 maybe more
close to RX350, MDX, etc. But it has CVT(personally I don't like CVT)

The Infiniti model line is in dire need of an interior refresh. Stop the use of shiny wood materials and plastics, and offer infotainment that doesnt look like an off the bestbuy shelfs.
Its a very strange company in that almost every vehicle carries their impressive array of safety tech, but inside everything is outdated.

I was in the Infiniti showroom last week and looked at a loaded QX50 since my RX350 lease is up soon. Nice looking crossover and the interior blew me away. It was light colored leather with black dash and carpets and a splash of blue suede along the doors and dash. I didn't like the navi screen but everything else seemed fine. The price was $55,000, but the salesman implied that large discounts and great lease deals were available. I don't mind the CVT, but worry about problems with the complex engine. If a V-6 were available, it might be a candidate.

We've had a QX50 since November. My wife drives it. She gets fuel economy close to the sticker (not bad since we live at the top of huge hill). She loves the safety and self-driving capabilities (we got the ProActive package). Its got way more room than her old NX and I think a little more than the un-stretched RX. Infotainment system works well with the dual touch-screens and voice commands. I'd like CarPlay, but their bluetooth integration is good enough. I just would like to run Waze on the built-in screen - they say next year's will have that. Power is excellent, even with a full load of people and stuff. Seats are super comfy on a long trip.
