i was actually quite surprised reading euro reviews that mostly all loved UX250h, despite quite few of them hating hybrids (especially german based media).
What I found interesting was Spanish review that mentioned how Lexus expects UX250h to sell 5k a year in Spain, while last year total sales were 7k (i thought it was crazy target) and journalist mentioned how this is short selling the car as it is much better and it should get more sales.
When I first did the static (non-test-drive) review, I was not impressed with the UX...I found it cramped and somewhat stark inside. However, when I went back and did the test-driveon the road, I was surprised to find the UX actually drove better than the larger NX, especially in the important (to me) areas of ride-comfort and quietness, where IMO the NX is not impressive at all.
It is great that Lexus captures the value and reliability conscious folks. What if they make a real effort in capturing the performance minded folks too instead of just paying lip service to performance?
I would assume the black cladding is now in style of a thing. I see them all over the place. That said, I have seen a feel UXs on the road, I am a bit on the fence as I see them in the wild.
best? I think not.
I received a brand new rental while my unit was in for service. Quite a lot of plastic inside, lot less sound dampening with noticeable cvt drone and no heated seats.
Had I been blindfolded, I would have thought I was driving a rav-4 not that rav-4 is a bad car just different price point. I don't know if it was the hype but was rather disappointed with the car altogether.
