Ideal Lexus model for Uber

The title of this thread is labeled as "ideal" for Uber. Yet all the ideal models we've listed go against what your personal interests are. An ideal Uber car is related to commuting, high mpg's, reliability, and comfort. Luxury or sportiness are not what drivers or passengers want for the job. So to answer your question, the CT or ES make the most sense. But to fit your personal interests, any other model will do- making this query impossible to quantify.
BTW, all Lexus models are reliable.

I’d say an rx is ideal for uber, lots of people and cargo room, easy in and out, and you can get awd.
For sedan, es is best option but no awd.
neither es or rx is ‘fun’ but pretty perfect commuters.
anyone recommending a ct must enjoy torturing people. hs was only sold 3 years stopping in 2012 and is basically a corolla with nice clothes. Nx too small.
if you want to blow people away, buy a used ls600hl... tons of room, hybrid, awd, beautiful interior.
if you’d consider a non-lexus, a genesis g80 ‘htrac’ (awd) would be good too, or earlier it was called ‘hyundai genesis’.

If you want to save money and try out the ES, get a 2010-2012. Many say these model years are better fit & finish than next generation. You can get one of these with around 75k mi, for 12,000-15,000. Very nice car for Uber. Search on cars.com to get an idea of pricing in your area.

Thanks everyone for the replies. It gave me some good info. Still have a bit of deciding to do but I appreciate the qualitative information that's difficult to come by when looking at specs only.

Embarrassing to say, the only time we rode in an Uber was in Toronto, and the person had a new generation Toyota Highlander. I have to admit that it really suited the 3 of us and a toddler, so I'm thinking SUV/crossover....

Black ES or GS. I think you get paid more if you have a black sedan with Uber. IS is way too small in the back, LS is bigger but also has many more expensive possible issues the more miles you put on them plus V8, premium gas, and short trips will get expensive. Used RLX would be ideal for Uber too if you like Acura's, it has a very roomy rear seat, is reliable, gets good gas mileage especially the hybrid.

Avalon Hybrid gets my vote, too!
I recently experienced a 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid through Uber and asked the driver some details around how he came to choose this particular make/model.
He said simply, the car was less than $15k purchased last year with 68k miles, has been exceptionally reliable and low maintenance, and currently had 152k miles and had never been in the shop for repair.
Interior has held up well, with the only thing replaced was the rear floor mats since he said they see a lot of wear.

Prius, Camry Hybrid, Avalon Hybrid, or latest 2018-24 ES300h with battery pack sandwiched between rear seat base and fuel tank - depends how big and luxurious you want.
GS gasoline does have a bigger trunk than ES, but GS has much tighter rear legroom due to dynamic RWD layout.
GS450h Hybrid has good mileage, but both poor rear legroom compared to FWD ES, and GS450h has old hybrid design with the gas tank behind the rear seat backrest for very compromised trunk space.

Sula et all, the 2013 - 2018 ES300h trunk is 12.1 cu. ft. vs. ES350's 15.1 = 80% or 1/5th smaller, not a third smaller.
