True, but they are looking at it from the usual sport-orientation of auto-magazines. The average Cadillac buyer is not looking for a sport-sedan or BMW-competitor. And, as far as the styling goes, IMO, it is not a true sedan, but a 4-door coupe.
Still better, though, than what Buick has done by going to all-SUVs. I'll give Cadillac that much credit. Right now, any sedan is better than no sedan.

I agree, especially with the pricing of the new models. They can actually compete on value now. 360 horses in the CT5-V (still salty about the naming btw) is right on par with something like the M340i, etc., but it is less expensive by a long shot.

Nobody has been successful trying to run an ES fighter, including GM. Can't fault Cadillac for not offering one.

If the Lacrosse was so successful it wouldn't have been cancelled. Cancellation = failure.

Like I said, it was successful for years against the ES. That is fact, not opinion. However, it is also fact that, for reasons that are still unclear, its success quickly died off after 2016, even though the Lacrosse itself improved substantially for the 2017 redesign.
I think that Cadillac, however, deserves credit for introducing two new sedans (really 4-door coupes LOL) at a time when SUVs are the current rage. Time will tell how well they do, although Jill doesn't think they will be around very long.

Successful vehicles don’t get cancelled. Toyota and Lexus just own that segment.
And I definitely give credit to Cadillac for investing in sedans. This is no doubt a great car, but nobody will buy it.
