That's true of the V-models...not the others.

One thing that is surprising is that the Magna-Ride system is not standard in the Premium Luxury version. Cadillac is supposed to be GM's highest-line brand.

Still a sports sedan. Driving vehicle. You are confused with a Lexus ES350 fighter which Cadillac for some reason does not offer and Buick failed to succeed in.

Agreed that Cadillac does not have an ES-fighter.....that, IMO, is a oversight. And, now, with the CT6 gone, they don't have an LS-fighter either. The CT5 may be (roughly) compared to the GS.

CT4 and CT5 will be gone too in a couple years.

Still better, though, than what Buick has done by going to all-SUVs. I'll give Cadillac that much credit. Right now, any sedan is better than no sedan.
Cadillac has been telegraphing for a decade that they are no longer going after the historic (you say "average") Cadillac customer. ATS, (last gen) CTS were squarely going after German counterparts. Even the CT6. Cadillac has made no secret of the fact they want to move away from large cushy "traditional" vehicles. They just haven't figured out exactly *how* to pull those customers away from the Germans.

I agree, especially with the pricing of the new models. They can actually compete on value now. 360 horses in the CT5-V (still salty about the naming btw) is right on par with something like the M340i, etc., but it is less expensive by a long shot.

With the product; not the marketing.

If it leases well, it might have a chance.

Nobody has been successful trying to run an ES fighter, including GM. Can't fault Cadillac for not offering one.

The Lacrosse, for years, was quite successful at fighting the ES......but then, sales dropped off drastically after 2016, and, well, no need to re-hash what happened next.

If the Lacrosse was so successful it wouldn't have been cancelled. Cancellation = failure.

Like I said, it was successful for years against the ES. That is fact, not opinion. However, it is also fact that, for reasons that are still unclear, its success quickly died off after 2016, even though the Lacrosse itself improved substantially for the 2017 redesign.

I think that Cadillac, however, deserves credit for introducing two new sedans (really 4-door coupes LOL) at a time when SUVs are the current rage. Time will tell how well they do, although Jill doesn't think they will be around very long.

Successful vehicles don’t get cancelled. Toyota and Lexus just own that segment.

And I definitely give credit to Cadillac for investing in sedans. This is no doubt a great car, but nobody will buy it.
