just test drove a toyota mr2 spyder 5 speed manual out, the carmax salesman was real nice, we spent 30 mins+ test driving it.

i felt the mr2 was pretty zippy and held so much better in curves than most cars i've driven or been in. partly because it has 140 hp for 2100lbs. compared to my sc400 at 290hp for 3655lbs, but even though it was light and zippy, it still did not have the feel of any muscularity coming through, even at its light weight.

i would have thought it's light weight would have even'd the feel of the power out compared to higher horsepower cars but it just doesn't cut it. it is however pretty damn nice to fling around corners and it was very tight. the ride isn't too harsh, more supple than a 350z touring even.

i'm going to test drive an infiniti g35 6 speed manual tommorrow, i heard they beat out the bmw 3series pretty well.

 

its definatly an underpowered car but you will find the market is filled with turbo kits and other parts to make this car an awsome competition to anything out there...

 

I saw a recent import mag with a hooked up spyder and they even put a JDM hardtop on it. The hardtop is what did it for me! It looked hot! I don't care for conv's that much
