Bought my first truck

This is why I have my 2000 Chevy 2500. With the bed over 8 ft, I can get a full size sofa in, and close the tailgate, or put a sheet of plywood or queen size mattress inside the bed. It will hold a lot of stuff, and with the 6.0 V8 will pull about anything. I only put about 2,000-3,000 miles per year on it, and it currently has 198,000 miles. The downside is that with the extended cab, it is over 20 ft long and not easily maneuverable in tight spaces. I also find it odd that given the large wheels on cars these days (like 20 inch wheels on my MDX), here is this large truck with only 16 inch wheels. Of course tires are cheaper.

I have a '19. In either the '19 or 20 MY, if I were you, I would step down to a Laramie from a Limited, and outfit it with the Level 2 package, power side steps and air ride if you want it. This will get you nearly all the features of the limited, except for self-park (takes many minutes to actually park the truck so its simply a parlor trick IMO) and standard air-ride. I went this route with my 2019 Laramie Sport and saved over $10k vs. a limited, and the air ride and advanced safety group (self-park, radar cruise, surround view camera) are the only options I don't have. MSRP was $61,040 and I was out the door for $46k+TTL

It's hard to imagine Nissan could offer any truck of that size, with such tiny stock wheels. (Tacoma has the same issue) Absolutely Disneyland material! Good choice on the upgrades.
Now the question is, where you comfortable with getting a new truck that looks to have sat on the lot for a long period of time? (A new 2018 in April 2019). I'd also get rid of that front tint. You are already going to stand out to the police/CHP with the big, raised, black truck look.
Overall, great choice and enjoy!!!

This is the base S model, meant as a working truck (it has vinyl flooring and not carpet lol). I knew I would modify everything, like I always have with any of my vehicles, so didn't care.
I was fine with an 18' model as there's several leftover and I saved a ton over a comparable 19'. I was more worried about the size of the XD 245" length and how I would maneuver around, but it's fine after u get used to it.
As for the tint, it's Cali, everyone has tint and I hope there's more pressing matters our fine LEOs are taking care of...

I hardly knew you....
Welp, what started out as a part time vehicle for the weekends and utilitarian duties became more and more of a daily driver. To this extent, this is the Achilles heel of owning a big half ton+ truck like the Titan XD; it is a big monster in every way! It has a huge footprint which makes parking difficult. It's turning radius is laughable so u cringe upon any u-turns. And lastly, the terrible gas mileage doesn't help just as Cali starts getting astronomical gas prices.
If I had used it for it's original intention, all those things could could easily be ignored. However, I started to long for more from my truck: more comfort, more gas mileage, and more power! So, after owning it for a mere 3 months and about 1400 miles, I did it: I traded it in for an F150 3.5L ecoboost supercrew!
This was the truck I wanted if I was going to use it as a daily driver. This was the truck that rode more like a car then any other truck I drove. This was the truck that when when modded could run 11s in the quarter mile!
I still liked my Titan XD and I thank it for showing me the way into truckdom, but as a modder, I highly look forward to the potential and possibilities with America's #1 selling vehicle....

Wow, hope you didn't get too hosed on the XD! They're definitely heavier and cumbersome for day to day driving. Nissan had tried to tout it as HD capability and Light Duty driving dynamics, but it seemed more caught in a weird middle ground. Especially with the increased capabilities of some of the light duties today.

The XD does have some great towing capabilities even if the specs only show it being mediocore. And title is a wonderful value (after all the discounts) with great standard equipment (my f150 had to be optioned up to be on par).
The problem is that trucks are so competitive these days with so much advancement that if you don't invest in it and sit on ur butt, you'll get left behind just sitting on ur reputation (see: Tundra).
