Default Information about wheel alignments and annoyed with my Toyota service location

Will post the data sheet shortly. So I went in to get a maintenance service for my Corolla at 57,000 miles. Was told I needed an alignment, I said yes when I should of said no. Anyways, I checked my past receipt, I also had one a year and a half earlier at 42,000 miles.

Is there a level of play within the steering where it is still in spec? Does this make sense as I have had no complaints of how my car performs in regards to steering.

Additional, I have made a decision and I am almost sure I will be moving from my dealer to a new service location in the fall when I am due again for service.

With the alignment they should have given you a sheet that shows you the before and after to show the changes that were made that will tell you if it was needed. Looks something like this

Just finding the sheet. What I am getting at is, can the car be just off but still within spec?

Yup, if you look at the example sheet that Dave posted, there are numbers in the upper right and left corners that signify the tolerance for those respective measurements. As long as those are green / within the range, you theoretically don't need an alignment

Wonder what type of machine they were using, all of the reports that I have seen in the last 20 years have looked like the one posted as an example...interesting that in the example the rear toe was good going in, and out of spec leaving?

So are those out of spec parts that much of an issue? Or are we talking such a small out of spec number.
