Best selling doesnt always mean the best. I wouldnt consider the Camry and RAV4 the best vehicles in its class, but yet they are the best sellers. I would consider the S Class best in class and it is also a top seller, but it isnt always the best in all aspects like reliability, but as sales prove, reliability is not the end all and be all, otherwise the LS will outsell the S Class.

I can like some of their models without liking the brand or what its management is doing. Plus I like supporting the underdog. I lease my cars so reliability is not a real issue for me, that said I would never touch a BMW. Oh and lastly, if I want to criticize a brand I am entitled to as an owner.

For sure. RX has never been the best in class. But is best in class, so something is working for Lexus. Personally I do not like the RX compared to an XT5 or Nautilus

Just noticed they put two USB's up front. Perhaps in place of the ones that were in the center console.

Strange that they move it from the centre console. The starts/stop button has been updated too.

I don't know if they removed the center console ones, but It's nice to have two up front and easily accessible.

Maybe they moved it to add wireless charging.

Where the warning sticker is, is a cubby where the wireless charger would be IF it was offered on U.S. spec RX. I don't know if they're added it yet or if it's still just space.

Yeah.. I never disputed that. I said the U.S. Spec one does not offer it. When available it is located ahead of the cupholders in other countries.

The question is will 2020 gain the option for U.S Spec

This earlier CL thread, though a couple of years old, may address at least part of the wireless-charging question in the RX.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-charging.html

I checked a PDF download of the 2019 Owners' Manual for the RX, and it does mention, on pages 544 and 545, wireless charging, but only if equipped...which suggests that it is, indeed, only available in certain markets and/or with certain options.

544 6-5. Using the other interior features

Clock

 Vehicles with a Lexus Display Audio system The clock can be adjusted by pressing

the buttons.
  1. 1 Pressing and holding will move the clock hands backward.
  2. 2 Pressing and holding will move the clock hands forward.
 Vehicles with a navigation system

The GPS clock's time is automatically adjusted by utilizing GPS time informa- tion.

For details, refer to “NAVIGATION SYSTEM OWNER’S MANUAL”.

Wireless charger (if equipped)

A portable device, such as a smartphone or mobile battery, can be charged by just placing it on the charging area, provided the device is compatible with the Qi wireless charging standard created by the Wireless Power Consortium.

The wireless charger cannot be used with a portable device that is larger than the charging area. Additionally, depending on the portable device, the wireless charger may not operate properly. Refer to the operation manual of the portable device.

■ The“Qi”symbol
The “Qi” symbol is a trademark of the Wireless Power Consortium.

6-5. Using the other interior features 545

■ Usingthewirelesscharger

  1. 1 Press the power supply switch of

    the wireless charger.

Pressing the switch again turns the wireless charger off.

When turned on, the operation indi- cator light (green) comes on.

When the engine switch is turned off, the on/off state of the wireless char- ger will be memorized.
  2. 2 Place a portable device on the charging area with its charging surface facing down.

While charging, the operation indi- cator light (orange) will be illumi- nated.

If charging does not begin, move the portable device as close to the cen- ter of the charging area as possible.

When charging is complete, the operation indicator light (green) will illuminate.
● Rechargingfunction

  1. If a certain amount of time has elapsed since charging completed and the portable device has not been moved, the wireless charger will restart charging.
  2. If the portable device is moved within the charging area, charging will stop temporarily then restart.
