Yea they will do fine sales wise, but it will also mean they will fall further behind in engine and overall tech. Plus that chassis is 3 or 4 generations old.

Here is the Toyota press release. Good stuff but a stiffer suspension? Interesting how the stiffer suspension is supposed to make the car more quiet.

perhaps the suspension can now better absorb harsh impacts? The RX and many Lexus models have a tendency to bottom out its suspensions and smack into the bump stops but with the stiffer suspension here it will not bottom out so easily sending shockwaves and shudders throughout the structure.

I believe that if we really want to drive fast, then we should do one of these.
Because driving dead fast on civilian roads is a danger to ourselves, and to other innocent people.
If we want to drive dead fast on road, then at least do it on a race track with safety barriers.
However, I'm not sure I will like the new 2020 RX's firmer springs or dampers.
I thought the original 2016 RX's damping was too sporty & firm [tiring high oscillation frequency], while the tires were too low profile, harsh riding and noisy.
But then it is the US's top selling luxury motor vehicle, so they can do almost whatever they like...

One correction. The current model already has L-shaped lighting at the rear. The new version is cleaned up a little more, but still similar.

99% of the public won't even notice the exterior changes. I doubt people have been buying it for looks anyway. Nothing in the segment is really a looker. Lexus did really nail it with the RX though. It offers a lot of the money. My son has one and I really like it.

I think the styling changes are fairly subtle but they do a good job of freshening it up.

while these tweaks are nice, there's nothing ground breaking here... same old engines, platform, 99% of exterior and interior design, etc. ...
i think the rx is going to have more and more genuinely NEW competition ... but one thing lexus will have an advantage on is pricing, as this vehicle not being much changed, they've long since paid for almost all the r&d and tooling.
also given the age of it all, this car being tried and tested and tweaked can be expected to be even more reliable than everything else.
really glad they put in android auto... as the video title says, about time
does bmw still charge for apple carplay? super stupid if so. does bmw have android auto?
does mercedes, audi, infiniti, acura?
does lexus offer included maintenance these days, or just sell that as a package?
