I agree it's a better car than the 6-Series, but it doesn't look or feel special enough to justify the legendary 8-Series name. Mercedes S-Class Coupe, Lexus LC, Maserati GranTurismo, and Porsche 911 Turbo all look the part to justify their price. So I'll agree to disagree.

The M8 may not look exotic but it has the performance to to stand out while the LC looks great but lacks the performance that one would associate with its looks.

The fact M8 has same power as M5 is also issue with higher price.
In reality it’s still a 6series and didn’t deserve to get 8series name.

Sclass coupe or 911S are more special cars for same $$$.

LC500 can’t play in this segment as its performance is really lackluster

The other issue with M8 is not enough separation from M850i.
The styling is almost identical, you can get Carbon roof and other parts on the M850 as well. The body panels are not wider just small changes to front bumper and proper quad exhaust on M8.

I think M8 GranCoupe will look better but that will be priced even higher lol.

I think we all generally agree, just the wording may come off different. My comment was purely on looks. From a purely performance stand point sure the LC and GranTurismo have no shot, at least for the Lexus it's the cheapest of the five with exotic looks.

Yup 8-Series is just a gussied up 6-Series

What a utterly dull interior, not the least bit interesting.

I remember one of the last episodes of "The Grand Tour" where Clarkson said the new 8 series had a boring interior when the drove the GT cars.

The interior is uninspired but good enough, the exterior looks like a Chinese knock-off.

I completely agree. I love the M8 but I would love to see a V12 in this car.

I can’t wait to see one in person. The regular 8 Series is incredible up close. It does look just like the 6 Series, but Inloved those cars.
