Great video on the Palisade contrasting it some with Telluride.

And yes, the LCD gauges turn into rear view cams on lane changes like the new K900!

I like the USB ports on sides of front row seats for second row people!

Good video, but it is essentially a longer, upgraded version of one of my typical MM Static-Reviews (no test-drive).....he didn't tell us much about its road-manners.

Watching King Alex. Few things I like.

“Discounts on military on aisle five”

I like the the cell phone slot in the centre console by the cup holder.
I like the push button shifter (Lincoln does it better) and it seems better thought out compared to the HL

Sorry about the wind... I nearly blew away in the gale...

The separate slot for the heated, cooling and steering wheel is nice. It is on its own island.
Laminated side windows, I am sure this is to match what the new HL will have.
LCD instrument panel is nice

No offense, but she is a perfect example of those who still have the same image, today of what Hyundai and Kia deserved 20 years ago. Back then, I probably would not have bought one, either.... the only one I thought decently well-built at the time was the 1Gen Tiburon sport-coupe. But, very quickly, by the mid-2000s, they had completely transformed their products....and the old image was gone.

It's funny when I tell someone I bought a Hyundai some are thinking this guy has come upon hard times and their brain freezes. They know me as a LS man. To be honest these 2019’s are the first ones that really appeal to me. My sister and her husband bought a fun, inexpensive yet loaded with everything 2019 Kia Sportage with the 2.0T. That is one fast car. Same engine as in the Santa Fe but in a smaller lighter SUV. The Hyundai Tucson they wanted doesn’t come with a turbo so it was on to Kia. Contrary to the new in demand Tellurides and Palisades, they cut you a fat deal on any car or SUV without even bargaining hard plus give you a 10 yr. warranty.

We sat inside the Palisade today. When next to other cars, the vehicle looks smaller in real life than in pictures. While the interior is of competitive quality, we did not find the center console and that appealing with the amount buttons that are being used. The PRDNL looks cool in pics, in real life it looks cluttered. We did sit an HL immediately afterwards, we found the inside of the front passenger area far more appealing and more spacious.

It appears Hyundai does that thing the headlights are lower on the front end, not a fan.

But overall, the Palisade is a good effort but Hyundai.

I would absolutely take a Palisade over an outgoing Highlander, the new Highlander remains to be seen. What would give the Palisade the edge for me is the interior size, its considerably bigger than the Highlander which for us has a lot of value.

As you know I always prefer a regular shifter to these silly button things.

Does not feel bigger inside. At least in the front.

I do do agree with the push buttons in this scenario, as well as Honda too.

But it absolutely is bigger inside, the stats clearly show that. The front isn't the issue, its people and cargo hauling. Adults cannot ride in the third row of a current Highlander, and the second row cannot be slid back enough to make a rear facing carseat not impact the front seating position for tall drivers. Those things won't be an issue with the Palisade.

Nah, I have ridden in the 3rd row of our Highlander. Not the greatest, but it’s ok for trips around town. I firmly disagree, though, about having a rear facing seat in the second row. I can do that and put the front seat so far back that I can’t readily reach the pedals, and I have long legs!
