I think it looks quite good TBH and these grills seem to work better on SUVs. It could be my next ride if the price is right on a used model in a few yrs.

I also think the spindle grille on the LX looks good.

I actually saw a refresh 7 Series on the street today, its better looking in person, but the grilles are pretty big...

I hate the grille but the rest of the car looks good.

The trend towards bigger grilles and especially bigger brand logos reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. Today's car designers are absolute morons who are creating gaudy and hideous designs.

Too bad we won't see sleek beauty like the E30 3-series or E31 8-series or E38 7-series ever again.

Such a bland car from the side profile, yet aggressive in the front. It just doesn't seem well thought out or balanced in any way.

I also think where BMW took it too far is the area that extends upwards past the level of the headlights. I don't mind large grills in general, just needs to be done right. They could have maintained most of the size but level the the top of the grill with the headlights.

I completely agree. Those cars looked amazing. The E31 and E38 are my two favorite BMW designs too.
