My cousin has a Murano, it’s a very nice vehicle but long term I would be worried about the CVT he’s talking about a much higher mileage car than 70k

Yeah, given up on the Murano. Looking at an 11 Escape V6 AWD 92K about $6k

Sigh, exhaust leak and 2 busted exhaust brackets on the Escape I looked at...no thanks.

Probably a good idea to stay away. You could get it fixed as a condition of the sale.

It's at a Ford dealer, so it pissed me off they tried to sell it to me like that. Some unknowledgeable young kid salesman tried to play it off like "what exhaust leak? Well it IS a used vehicle" then I asked to put it on a lift to inspect it and he said all the tech were gone... magically 15 mins later he came back and said the svc mgr will do it - just a regular tech did it and HE mentioned the exhaust leak, not me....so the whole thing got me mad...and I walked out.

I guess you could wait for them to call. They will! Have you looked at any comparable Toyota models?

yep, I'll continue to search but RAV4 V6s are harder to find, higher price too.

I was looking at an 06 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab 4WD w/120K but apparently the auto transmission sucks and its $5K to swap it for a rebuilt one.
