Default 10,000 Miles Owning a Buick Regal TourX Wagon: What I've Learned

I have said this is the best Buick sedan on the market.

Very hard to copy and past because of the photos. I hope you all enjoy.

It's not even available as a sedan in the American market.....only a sedan-like hatchback and, of course, the Tour-X wagon.

I agree that, being an Opel design, it is more solidly-built than the Lacrosse, but not anywhere near the same league for riding and seating comfort. And the nice 3.6L V6 is only available on the sport-oriented GS hatchback, which has even stiffer underpinnings.

Yes I agree. LaCrosse is nice, but there are some cheap, questionable things about the interior.

It just doesn't have the German solidness that the Opel-based Buicks do. But some of the smaller Buicks are still stuck with that questionable 2.4L Ecotec four and its oil-consuming piston rings. It was the only thing on the Verano I had that ever gave me any problem.

Not any more....GM just removed some of them.

This about the Regal? Does it come with the 2.4L Ecotec?

Actually, you have a point. All the Regals except the GS now come with a 2.0L turbo and 8-speed. I should have remembered that from when I did the Tour-X and GS write-ups.

Do any cars currently sold by GM still have this engine?

I did several searches, and couldn't find any. Apparently it went out of production at the end of the 2017 model year. The Ecotecs are now 1.4L turbo, 1.5L turbo, and 2.0L turbo.

I thought it was still available on some of the smaller Buicks, Chevies, and GMC products, but apparently not.
