Everyone copying Tesla. Too bad auto companies have horrible software engineering. Tesla's Silicon Valley location really trumps all of the other companies in terms of software talent and its really not close. If you've ever used Tesla's built in software, its easily as good as Carplay and Android Auto which are far better than anything the other auto companies have.

It looks like how it is in the C8.

have to up their game since Lincoln blows the Cadillac line out of the water now, even a Ram Limited interior is far better than anything Caddy has

I'm dying to see the reveal, sucks they delayed it a year. I don't see how they could top how good they look now, eager to see.

FWIW I see 40 Escalades for every Navigator I see, not sure I would call that "blowing them out of the water". At least not sales wise, around here.

Doesn't really appear to be any bigger than most offerings out there.

the Escalade coming out in 2015 and the new Navigator coming out in 2019 may have something to do with it. Sit in both and the difference is apparent. Hence why Caddy has to do a sudden major redesign in just 6 years.

Just wait until the Aviator comes out, Caddy has nothing close to compete with that, much less other makes.

I would still rather drive an Escalade than a Navi any day of the week. The Navi doesn't have that glorious V8 and it doesn't have the cachet of an Escalade, either. It doesn't look as good in my eyes, also.

And you have a good point but trust me, here in Knoxville, the GM SUVs absolutely annihilate the Ford/Lincoln offerings. I'm not exaggerating--Tahoes, Yukons, Denalis, Escalades. You can't drive anywhere without seeing dozens--new and older. I hardly ever see an Expedition or Navi by comparison.

Caddy hasn't had to do a "sudden redesign" either, it handily outsells the Navi everywhere, not just here. The life cycle is up, it will have been 6 years once the new one comes out. They have delayed it by a year, they're not rushing it.

Ford really hadn't touched the Expedition/Navigator since 2003, so I think that can attribute to the lower numbers. I, too, see far more full-size GM SUVs here in LA vs. Ford; BUT that has started to change since the release of the new Navigator. I can't wait to see if the new aviator takes off - I think it should, for it's beautiful and the initial reviews are very positive.

If the new Escalade is anything like the new Silverado, I think Cadillac will fall to Lincoln in terms of sales.
