It's been forever since I've stepped into a VW showroom and have always been a fan of German cars.

Dealer is located in Coconut Creek, FL and while they only had a few new cars, they had TONS of low mileage off lease Atlas's and Tiguans.
The people were very friendly and accomodating and said it was ok to take some pics for everyone of the New 2022 Atlas.

The prices kinda suprised me for a Euro car- at $46,500 for a brand new Atlas(pics below), which included everything including a $2k "market adjustment", I was shocked.
I looked at the sticker for more add on digits and gotchas and didn't see any.

>> Notice the hitch for tow package already installed.

>> And Yes- 3rd row seating f you need it

Some would argue that the Atlas is not a true euro VW. It’s made for US and China. (I think).

Look what's in the background of the showroom (red and white).......an original air-cooled VW Microbus (Hippie-Bus) from the 60s.

I like the Atlas a lot, my only issue is they are VW-spartan inside. Great space though, they look great, drive very nice.

The space-efficiency come from the squarish / boxy styling....which may not look as sleek as the Aero-designs, but, all else equal, generally gives you more room inside.

With the possible exception of the unsuccessful Phaeton, VW has never offered plush/Bordello-interiors, at least in the U.S. market.

On a mainstream car like that I'm not looking for plush, its just very square...small infotainment screen etc

That is kinda the style for a VW.

Ya'll might shoot me for blasphemy. lol
But- looking at these up close it seems to me the interior looks a little upscale from a Toyota but not as premium as Lexus.

Nobody is gonna shoot you lol. If you look at the price points….Toyota cars and crossovers do not always match the price points of VW products …. So there definitely is a level up on the VW interiors. You see it when you directly compare a Corolla to a Jetta or a Tiguan to a RAV4. Where Toyota has a comparative advantage is in bread and butter powertrains. A Jetta is behind in HP over a 2.0 Corolla as well as a Tiguan is behind the RAV4 in the same area. No comparison when it comes to hybrid technology. Bringing it back to Atlas, the V6 Highlander is also pushing more power than the V6 VW Atlas.

VW has some outstanding technology….but so does Toyota
