Bummed Lexus didn't find a way to bring CarPlay/Android Auto to the GS before it dies.

I never said "never", just that it's not really a limited-run car or anything like that.

This is really sad news for Lexus and enthusiasts. It does seem like Lexus is really giving up on the luxury/performance market or really competing with the top Tier Germans. They are making a lot of bad decisions. Giving up on V8's, may give up on the GS/ES replacing GS, LS no longer has a V8, going more and more downmarket, can't compete with the Germans that way. I see nothing in Lexus future to get excited about or look forward to, its just grim, just mostly more cuv's for the masses and smaller engines while they keep stalling on everything else if not flat out kill models/engines. I don't see myself buying any future Lexus vehicles, certainly not new, definitely have no interest in a ES with a F sport badge or that new disappointing LS.

GSF as a collectible is wishful thinking lol

In order to be collectible- car has to have historical significance, rarity, and most of all enthusiasts that will actually cultivate the market for it. Porsche, BMW, MB all have national organized car communities / shows which work in conjunction with OEMs. Ferrari is probably the best at this.

I hope it doesn’t so I can get one at a good price. 😏

Realistically I see it being like a rarer IS-F. Not necessarily a collectible car but it will have it’s own special following like the IS-F does. The same goes for the RC-F.

Any of the Lexus with this engine could become collectible and there are multiple articles on it written by more knowledgable sources than people on this forum...Collectible Car Magazine, Forbes, Hagerty, Road and Track..etc. Another Toyota and Yamaha product, the 2000 GT seems to be doing ok!

I guess to many of us Lexus fans and even folks who can appreciate a good engineered car it would a collectable car. We know its a last v8 of its kind and I would think it would keep its value somewhat better than non F cars just like the ISF. and it would a car that is not just a garage queen like almost all other collectibles.

I don’t think a GS F will be a collection type car. I doubt there will be a lot of high mileage units out there.

That stage 4 SC makes over 800 hp . No wonder that ISF was flying. I believe the 5.0 in the IS makes only half of that from the factory.

GSF is the best example of F car now. Has the best interior between that and the RC, same weight so heck id rather have 4 doors at that point. Since the car was optioned out from the factory you pretty much just shop for the exterior/interior colors you want
