Versus what? It’s shorter than the new BMW 5 series I had. It’s shorter than the Panamera I had. It’s shorter than a challenger and charger. It’s shorter than the new M5. It’s shorter than the E63. Versus what? Lol. Enormous? Idk what you drive but enormous is Merc S500 and Jag XJ status.
As an owner, I can tell you it’s been around and people still don’t know what it is.
The 5 Series while bigger looks smaller because the proportions are done right. I’ll take an M550i over this all day. The GSF is underpowered for its size and class. I prefer the Dated ISF size and exterior looks Over the GSF.
Theres no denying the M550i is just an overall better looking better performing car at the same price.

LOL. Sorry, I deny it having owned both. M550i is not near as much fun to drive as a GS F. Have you driven them both? The GS F has much better steering feel. Sure, Lexus could turbo charge and make the F cars awd and get the numbers BMW does, but that would take the fun out of them. I'm not going to trust a German turbo v8 for the long term either. So the GS F is a Win Win for me. Yeah, I lose out on Carplay and being able to twirl my finger to turn up the stereo. The way the GS F drives and sounds could make me care less...LOL.
Lighter and would get slaughtered by it. They put 600 HP in that car for a reason.
470 hp is enough for me in a car like this, if people stop chasing numbers all day they would feel better instead of saying SQUIRREL at the next shiny thing. The last gen M5 that was out when the GSF first came out wasnt that much faster (4.3 vs 4.6) and it was even fatter than the current one
I won't even buy a m5 over the GSF. I want to keep my car more then 3 years and yea GSF is not the fastest out there but I could care less. its big enough for a family of 5 and the interior is much nicer than a BMW. If I have alot of money then I would get a m8 maybe.

the wheels do look larger in the lighter color, but I would go 20in after market
the wheels, tires and wheel opening size just look too small for the body. the giant front overhang doesn't help.
I have no doubt this is an AWESOME driving car though!
Agreed
Most Lexus cars are not very photogenic. You have to see the thing in person. As someone mentioned above, once you get to enjoy the roar of the V8 you really don't care about others.
GSF is a nice car but for $90k, it wasn't worth the brand cachet and performance. It's priced $20k too much. It handles well but it's slow for a performance trim.
Its way underpowered, overpriced, and ugly.
There is a reason nobody buys them.
Some other dislikes:
- can’t have custom independent settings for steering, engine, susp etc.
- Stock exhaust is really quiet
- Auto trans is slow. The 10speed in LC500 is much better.

I don't mind how the GS looks from the side, but the proportions are noticably not typical RWD. The wheel-to-door length is quite short and there's a fair bit of front overhang. It looks like it can't decide if it wants to be RWD or FWD. Similar proportions on the IS too. Is it just a design quirk of the N platform? Even the new Crown on the TNGA-N platform has more typical RWD proportions like that BMW:
