I am an engineer. My job is designing flight decks for commerical airliners. We go to extensive efforts to eliminate glare and reflections from screens. Pictures like these make me lose sleep at night. (I kid, I kid, but...only a little)

Mercedes cannot possibly make their dashboards any uglier and childish, but it appears they are going for it. WOW, that is one horrid video game console.
On the otherhand, it appears perhaps the dumpy butt may finally be disappearing? Let's hope that is not just a tacked on trunk, but the real shape.

There appear to be plastic protector covers on the screens/console (most obvious in the last pic where you can see the air bubbles under the plastic protector). Much of the glare in the pictures is likely coming from those

Good catch on the covers, but lately I am seeing more and more shiny plastic without hoods/shields, that show a lot of glare and reflections.

if you make the screen ultra bright, it can negate glare
but this ipad looking crap has to go, especially with flexible oled, you can create more appealing center console shapes

yeah, now it's a bottom ipad look.
Interesting how they moved the screen back to the old lower position of 10 years ago.
remember how everyone was saying the screen at the top was in "the driver's field of view" ? I thought that was BS because change in eye focus still makes the road blurry.
How about something that looks more integrated, without nasty bezels.
Merc lcd screens have that thick black screen border.
