How many spolier wings can you fit on the rear of a Civic?

The Ford Escort Cosworth was originally designed to have 3 wings but due to costs they just had two. On a episode of Wheeler Dealers they actually added the extra wing and talked to the original designer. They tested it in a wind tunnel and the 3 wings provided more downforce then the standard two.

I thought it was a type R also...the hatch window is too small to incorporate a roof spoiler AND a huge trunk spoiler....I'm surprised if he can see anything through the back
I saw that episode and couldn't believe oem would slap a 3rd wing

Actually, in most cases, it would make sense. FWD cars are already nose-heavy, and downforce on the rear balances out some of the physics....particularly in hard braking, when you naturally get even more forward weight-transfer. The only time downforce in the rear works against you is when you are trying to prevent front wheel spin.

Slammers often don't live in a real world.....though I'll admit that the average Civic is not necessarily driven by a young adult with their cap on backwards and/or wearing a Fast & Furious T-Shirt.
